2011 -2012 Office Bearers Elected

After the Annual General Meeting the committee met to elect the office bearers, as required by the existing rules.

Bill Maguire was elected to the role of President. Paul McDonald and Jennifer Piggott agreed to share the Vice President’s duties. The incumbent Treasurer and Secretary, Jeanette Hill and Jim Dean respectively, were re-elected.

2011 AGM

The agm was held last night and all the proposed business was successfully conducted. The attendance was a bit lower than most meetings.

The retiring committee members were re-elected and the vacancy that had existed for the last year was filled. Jennifer Piggott was elected to fill the vacancy. The committee will meet soon and appoint the office-bearers.

The proposed amendment to the new constitution was accepted and the amended constitution was then passed. This will change the way the committee is elected in future and also reduce the size of the committee. It will not change the organisation of the show, it is only an administrative change.

The forum brought up a few suggestions to improve future events and these will be followed up at subsequent meetings.

AGM Report – 2010

The Annual General Meeting was held earlier this month. Again the attendance was a little disappointing but those who attended contributed to a successful night.

Bill Maguire and Ron Painter were re-elected to the committee. This left us with a single vacancy on the committee. At a subsequent committee meeting the office bearers were elected. The only change was that Bill Maguire was elected to the position of Vice President. The full committee is on the committee page.

The AGM was followed by a members forum. A number of issues were raised and discussed. Some of these will be investigated further at future general meetings.

Office Bearers Re-Elected

At a recent committee meeting the current office bearers were re-elected unopposed. This will provide continuity in the administration of the association.
