All the profits from each year’s show are donated back to the community. This year the major recipient was the Hawkesbury Hospital Auxiliary. We also made donations to St John Ambulance in the Hawkesbury and to Cystic Fibrosis NSW.

At the Hawkesbury Hospital Fete held last Saturday HMHS President Paul McDonald presented a cheque for $3600 to Hawkesbury Hospital Auxiliary President Lorraine Hill. In total HMHS donated over $5000 to the local community from the proceeds of this year’s show.

We are looking for people who can help organise the event. You don’t need any special skills just a desire to be involved. We are a friendly group who meet for an hour or two each month on average, less this time of year but more often closer to the event. See the membership page for details or contact us using the confidential contact form there.

Applications for exhibitors will open later in the year. The forms will be added to this site then. If you would like to be invited to exhibit please contact now with details of your exhibit. Displays of hobbies, collections particularly those with action, demonstrations etc. are especially welcome. We also have room for traders of collectibles, crafts and hobbies supplies.

A special display expected for Sunday only will be the speedway bikes. The cars proved very popular today and the bikes will be equally interesting.

There is just one day left so if you miss the Sunday you will have to wait until next year. Hours for tomorrow are 9 – 4.

We spent the day at Windsor Markets promoting the show by handing out flyers and talking to the visitors. It was a cool start but we got a warm welcome. The display board showing several of the exhibitors attracted a lot of attention.
Thank you to those members who helped out during the day and to the market organisors for letting us attend.

Any members who are available on the day are invited to give a hand even if just for a short time.

Blokes Day is over for another year. This year the number of both displays and visitors seemed to be down a bit. Possibly due to the poor weather leading up to the day. However the weather on the day was among the best we have experienced, warm and sunny most of the day with just a bit of cloud towards the end.

Dave and Jesse set up a stand and provided tables for our display. Jesse also provided refreshments for the volunteers which was much appreciated. Bill brought some of his models and Jeanette ran a raffle for CF NSW. The prizes included a quilt and that with the model display attracted a great deal of interest. Paul provided a display board highlighting the range of displays at the show. We distributed a large number of flyers and we know from previous years this is the best form of advertising.

Thanks and well done to all who helped on the day.

They will be holding a stall at the show which will sell a range of their crafts and tasty treats. Information on the work of the auxiliary will be available at the stall too.

We will also make donations from the profit of the show to our regular recipients and supporters including St John Ambulance and CF NSW.
